Salvation Army: Doing Evil in God's name?

Does the Salvation Army believe it is perfectly fine to turn "reformed" drunks and drug addicts loose on the public with no supervision? Could the Salvation Army Thrift store in Spring Hill be the specific subject of this question?

As any intelligent person would expect, unsupervised people of the "reformed" variety will do as they please including abusing the customers, partying in the back room, taking items believed to be donations to those in need, and otherwise running amok.

The Salvation Army claims that the store is part of the "Salvation Army Church" and enjoys tax exempt status. What kind of church knowingly allows sinful behavior on their "holy" ground?

Are donations of our hard-earned money to the Salvation Army going to those in need or serving to support the sinful habits of those who are doing evil? Doing evil while claiming to do good is the worst of sins.

Numerous complains by phone, email, and letters go who knows where. But what goes on at the Salvation Army stays at the Salvation Army. Or does it? 1296b5e

4th generation army girl? Ever get fired cause you didn't meet a required quota in a store? Didn't think so? Look at the hard working 40 hours to the nose, weekly workers, there everyday....trying....going home sore, tired and return each day. Then let go cause sales were down. OUT TO THE STREETS, no unemployment, just out! Who was loving them then? Who was giving them a chance? Not the Salvation Army! Money! Make it, or leave!

Just come in and say.....Gonna let you go. Next? No demotion, no warning! Money coming in lower than wanted, no matter the reason, Management Staff is gone! Bye Bye! NO UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS EITHER- because = FROM NON PROFIT ORG. TOO! HOW SWEET! And you were there eveyday, when your staff was sick, or lazy or late constantly. Then they move up someone from that same store Who Wasn't Pulling Their Weight to the Your Managment positon, All because that Mgr didn't fire them when they were part of why the money wasn't coming in, and routine duties were behind. Because of thier Lazy, call offs, and always an excuse! My God, trying to be kind if they were really sick. Mgr trying to give them the benifit of the doubt, and working harder, when they are out, constant warnings, but its just too many people, and too may times! In the end Its "You" that gets thrown under the bus when the quota is not met! Watch out Managers....and rid yourself of any slackers, cause "YOU" will be pay the price and be gone and "THEY" (The slackers) will move up in your place By Default!!!! Talk about a place the call "Doing the Most Good!" Most of these Mgrs were good hearted people, doing the best they could, with the staff they had. Look where it got them? Hopefully, The Salvation Army will see they lost a lot of Good People, and go about things a differnt way!

the salvation is a wonderful place. i know , because i am a 4th generation army girl. i know nothing but the salvation army. what other church allows anyone to come in and worship with them. WE DO. i have seen many people come in who have taken a bath , seen a toothbrush or had a real meal in along time. but these people know that the army will welcome them. other churches will turn them away at the door.

the thrifts store use the money to run different operations, such as drug and alcohol rehab centers..do you want to pay for it out of your taxes, no im sure. we are all non profit.

we have to give everyone a chance and sometime a little loves goes a long way.. maybe some other people should try it sometimes. everyone likes to have fun,no matter what job you have.

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW...ALL EMPLOYEES HAVE A BACKGROUND CHECK RUN ON THEM.. so never feel too bad about someone there, they have been checked out.

GOD LOVES YOU, NO MATTER WHAT YOU HAVE DONE AND HE LOVES THEM TOO. :zzz
