The Salvation Army is an international social movement connected with Christian Church. Its mission is preaching Christian values and meeting human needs without discrimination. The movement was started in 1852 by William Booth. It developed mainly in England and in the United States. In XX century it expanded rapidly to Canada, Australia, France, Switzerland, India and many other countries.
